This skill-building recorded training introduces mental health professionals to Motivational Interviewing (MI), an evidence-based, person-centered approach designed to strengthen client motivation and commitment to change. The course explores MI’s relevance for therapists working with clients who feel reluctant or disengaged in therapy. Through didactic instruction, guided reflection, and modeled examples, participants will learn how MI supports autonomy, reduces resistance, and enhances therapeutic engagement.
